Dear Kate,

Thanks for your letter. It was nice to hear from you. Well, I recommend that you go camping anywhere in Empuriabrava. In a campsite there are a lot of foreigners, you can meet a lot of people. You can spend all the time on the beach or swimming pool and the most important thing: you get tan!!! And you can go out at night, OF COURSE!!

Apart from staying on the beach you can visit a lot of places:
Empuriabrava is a nice place, and there are a lot of restaurants, bars, pubs, shops… I recommend that you hire a boat and take a stroll through the channels of Empuriabrava. It is very agreeable and romantic!!!
You can go to Figueres to visit a lot of museums. The most important is the museum Dalí. You can visit “The castle of Sant Ferran”. It is very beautiful and from outside the castle there are genial views. And after you can go shopping!!
And the most important place that you can’t miss is Cadaqués. This place is one of the best places in the world, it is very lovely, calm, there are a lot of cove, and this views are WONDERFUL!!!
There are a lot of things you can visit, for this I recommend that you came with your car.
In Empuriabrava and the other places there are a lot of pubs and discos.
In Empuriabrava the best pub is Sikim, the music is the best, and the people who work there are very friendly. And the best disco is Passarel·la that is next to the beach and Pacha. If you want quiet pub you can go to “5 Sentidos” or “el cafè del mar”.
There are only a few pubs in Figueres, in “la plaça del sol”.
You can go to Chic. It is a disco in Roses.

One more thing, you’ll need some summer clothes. It’s very hot!!!

Archeology boom going bust

Fewer secrets expected about Barcelona’s past

These new talks about the decrease of the archaeology tasks in Barcelona. After some good years for this activity in the city, now things are changing. The most important reason is that the construction boom is finished and now fewer buildings are build, so there is less chances to find anything under the ground. It means that now there is less archaeologists sites and, consequently, it will be more difficult to discover anything about the past of the city. Moreover, some archaeologists have lost their employment.

Doctors’ union wants to set a limit of 25 patient consultations per day

This article turns around the complaint of the Catalan doctors about the number of patients they have to attend every day. The doctors’ union desire is that doctors don’t have to attend more than 25 patients per day, while nowadays it can arrive to 40, and that’s why doctors decided to call a strike as an example of disagree. The doctors’ union and the Catalan Health Institute will meet soon to try to solve this problem.

Meresme rivers need clean-up

The situation of the rivers of Maresme is very alarming because the water is contaminated. The authorities and everyone who is involved in this have recently met with the Catalan water Agency in order to decide which precautions must be taken to respect the environment, especially with water.

THIRTEEN

I liked this movie and I liked the way as Tracy from one day to another, she has gone from being a simple girl to a “rebel” girl and I also liked because with so little time she has spent many things in his life. The end of the film for me is the best, it is a very hard final but at the same time very nice. When I saw the end of the movie I couldn't avoid the tears, I started to remember my life when I was 13 years old, for me it was a very difficult phase, at this phase was when the problems had started, I repeated course, ... and therefore when I saw the end of film I cried, because all of the bad moments that I passed returns in my memory. Luckily, I didn’t finish like Tracy, I didn’t end up drugged and I didn’t end up cutting the veins and also, thankfully, now everything is all right, my life begins to be as it was before. If there was a second part of the movie, I am absolutely sure that everything would be better for Tracy and she would be as good as I am. =)

My first oral presentation

Hello, I’m Marina Geli and this is my first oral presentation! I hope goes well because I’m very nervous.
I would like to talk about one of my favorite series, House. My presentation consists of 2 parts:

• First I will talk about the series and I shall give you my opinion.
• And after I’ll talk about the main characters.

House is a TV series of USA, the series premiered in 2004. It is a medical drama that revolves around Dr. Gregory House, he is unfriendly but brilliant doctor. He works in the diagnostic department of the fictitious Hospital University Princeton-Plainsboro of New Jersey.
The main characters are:

• Dr. Wilson
• Dr. Cuddy
• Dr. Foreman
• Dr. Chase
• Dr. Cameron
• Others
• Dr. HOUSE ( the most important)

• Robert Sean Leonard plays the role of Dr. James Wilson in the series; he is the head of oncology at the hospital. It is the best and only friend of House. Wilson only had has one wife, he like go with others woman, but in fourth session Wilson fall in love with amber but in the end she dies.
• Lisa Edelstein in the series is the Dr. Lisa Cuddy. She is the director of the hospital, She constantly is angry with House because he always skips the rules. But she has never thought of dismissing Dr. House because he believes he is the best doctor at the hospital and one of the best doctors in the world.

In the first, second and third season House has 3 helpers: Cameron, Chase and Forman but in the end of the third session House dismissed Chase, and Cameron and Forman give up the work and in the fourth season he has to hire three new doctors.

• Omar Epps is Dr. Eric Foreman. He is a neurologist. House usually mistreats Foreman, but at really he thinks that Foreman is a good doctor, he is very intelligent. At the end of the third season Foreman leaves the team of House because he believes that if he continues to work with House he will end up like him. But in the fourth season Cuddy returns to hire Foreman because he supervised House.
• Jesse Spencer is Dr. Robert Chase, it is an intensive, and actually he is working in surgery at the hospital, he is the head of surgery. Now, in the fourth season he is the boyfriend of Dr. Cameron
• Jennifer Morrison is the Dr. Allison Cameron. She is immunologist. She is a very good person but she has a defect: she normally falls in love with the people who need help. Actually she is the head of emergency.

Dr. Lawrence Kutner Dr. Remy Hadley and Dr. Chris Taub are the 3 new helpers of House in the fourth season.

And finally I give my opinion of House because before I have spoken about him.

I love Dr. House I think he is an intelligent person and an intelligent doctor. He is a very good-looking man, and I laugh a lot with him with his jokes, he always messing about people… but sometimes he goes far with his jokes, but it is impossible to get angry with him, he is so irresistible.

Hollowen's night

In Hallowen's night one girl was waliking in Central Park when she heard her mother, her mother said: "Samantha! come here, it's time to eat". The girl was suprised because it was midnight and she had just had dinner. Samantha decided to look for her mother.
When she found her mother, she was afraid because she was wearing a mystery hood. Samantha asked: "what happens mother?" Her mother startted to shout like a cloun and she took off the hood.
She was a MONSTER!!!

How are you? I hope everything is all right

My name is Marina Geli, I’m 16 years old and I live in Castelló d’Empúries. I’m tall but not a lot, with dark hair, brown eyes and a big mouth when I smile.

I have a lot of hobbies; for example I love to go out with my friends, go to the cinema or spent some time shopping. I also love music, I play the flute and the saxophone and I like to listen to music every moment. Moreover I think that I’m really friendly and extroverted, and that’s because I like a lot to meet people.
